Shipping policy

At Making Mama, we want to let you enjoy your motherhood journey, with the least amount of stress as possible! The majority of the products we sell are created and packaged by the suppliers in our brand family and sent to us. We do not dropship, you will receive all your products in one order, sent from Making Mama. Our commitment to our customers is to ensure the quality of the products we receive and endeavour to get these products to you in perfect condition. We are located in Naarm (Melbourne, VIC) and only ship within Australia.

As we are a small, one woman run business, please allow up to 2 - 4 business days processing times. Once you place your order:

  • We will pack your order within 1 - 2 business day of payment received.
  • Your order will be shipped within 1 - 2 business day of being packed.
  • Once orders are placed, they are not able to be edited, added to or cancelled.
  • You will receive an email with your tracking number once your order has been shipped.

We offer two different methods of shipping in Australia:

  • Standard Delivery: 3-13 business days, flat rate of $10 or free for orders over $100. 
  • Express Delivery: Flat fee $15 and 2-5 business days for Metro. Flat fee $20 and 2-10 business days for rural.  Express Post service will continue to be our fastest postal delivery option for customers. 
  • Disclaimer: Shipping times are a guideline and subject to change. You may experience slightly longer delivery times during peak periods, due to wild weather, or due to other courier delivery issues that are unforeseen or unavoidable events beyond Making Mama's reasonable control.

Notes:

  • In exceptional circumstances (Christmas, Mothers Day, COVID-19) please be aware that there may be delays in packing and shipping. Please order with enough in advance for this and please be patient, we promise we are doing the best we can.
  • Your package will be delivered to the address you provide. Once we have sent your package off we accept no responsibility for any delay, damage, destruction of goods caused by the third-party deliverer. However, we will endeavour to find a solution if any of the above issues arise.

COVID-19 shipping update:

Due to current shipping delays across all freight companies and all networks please allow for two-weeks delivery (WA and regional up to three weeks). If you need your order within a week we highly recommend contacting us before purchasing.

This is unfortunately out of our control but what we can control is that we promise to pack your order within one business day of payment received (pending exceptional circumstances) and will get your package out to you as soon as possible.

Express options are available but may incur extra fees, please contact us for express post options.

 

Authority to Leave:

To ensure secure delivery, we recommend all parcels be signed for upon receipt. If you will not be at home during delivery hours, please choose an address where someone will be available to sign for your parcel. Alternatively, you can select ‘Authority to Leave’ at the checkout and your parcel will be left at the delivery address.

 

To ensure the security of your order a driver will always attempt to gain a signature when a delivery is made unless you have selected 'authority to leave'.

If you select ‘authority to leave’, you understand and agree that this gives us and/or our couriers permission to leave your order in question unattended in a safe place at the delivery address without obtaining a signature confirming delivery at the delivery location. This may be by the front door, at the reception or concierge's desk, or as per your instructions.

In these circumstances, you understand and agree that by granting us authority to leave, we and our couriers are released of all responsibility and liability for the orders delivered and left unattended, and that this responsibility and liability transfer to you on delivery.


Shipping to Multiple Addresses:

We are unable to process split shipments within one order at this time. If you wish to ship to multiple addresses, you can do this by creating separate orders, each with their own delivery address.
